Going to Church in Tonga was a delight. Firstly everyone dressed up. Virtually everyone wore an apron-like garment called a ta'ovala to honor the king. The walk to the Church was joyful, and once you got there the acapella singing was heavenly. In this painting I was attempting to capture the lively mood and the sunshine of the morning. The Ray for the Day is Sunday Morning in Tonga.
